At Sigma UK Group Ltd, the Health and Social Care Apprenticeships provide learners with the knowledge and skills needed to work in a variety of health and social care settings. At Sigma UK Group Ltd we offer Levels 2 and 3 Apprenticeship standards in the health and social care sector including the following:

 

Adult Care Worker Level 2 – The Adult Care Worker – Apprenticeship covers a wide range of job roles on two pathways: the adult social care pathway and the health care pathway.  This could mean working in the NHS, the private sector, local authorities or in the voluntary sectors or for anyone who is responsible for supporting or caring for someone or a group of people.

 

Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 – The Lead Adult Care Worker – Apprenticeship covers a wide range of job roles on two pathways: the adult social care pathway and the health care pathway.  This could mean working in the NHS, the private sector, local authorities or in the voluntary sectors or for anyone who is responsible for supporting or caring for someone or a group of people, within a senior role.

 

Healthcare Support Worker Level 2The apprenticeship standard provides a high-level description of the skills, knowledge, values and behaviours required of the Healthcare Support Worker apprentice.  This apprenticeship is designed for a person who is working in a care setting within the NHS, GP Practice, Care or a Nursing Home. You will carry out well-defined routine clinical duties like monitoring an individual’s conditions (by checking things like blood pressure, temperature or weight), checking on their overall progress, comfort and wellbeing.

 

Senior Healthcare Support Worker Level 3The apprenticeship standard provides a high-level description of the skills, knowledge, values and behaviours required of the Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprentice. You may work in a range of services e.g. hospital, community, health or day case unit, birth centre or midwifery led unit, someone’s home, operating theatre, nursing or care home, assessment centre, hospice, school, prison, GP surgery, charity or voluntary organisation; working in partnership with individuals, families, carers and other service providers

 

Care Certificate and Functional Skills – we can deliver these qualifications to ensure that staff are prepared and have the required skills and knowledge to achieve these apprenticeship standards.

 

What do you need to succeed in the health and social care sector?

Roles within this sector provide you with the opportunity to utilise your skills of caring for the unwell, less able or needy. You’ll need to enjoy working with people and have a passion for assisting others who need support. You’ll get the opportunity to work with real people in all areas of the health and social care sector, including hospitals, hospices, residential and care and for individuals in their homes.
